3.2.0

2.0 RC1 combo bug?

With examples\new\controls.htm.

If I click on the "v" on the combo, the list opens. But if click on the "v" once the list is open, the list does not close. Is this correct functionality?

Sorry - which change log? http://www.activewidgets.com/javascript.forum.11232.3/2-0-rc1-change-log.html has no mention.

It works for me. What browser? Mine is working perfect, except I made a mod to change the image in the control when you change the item from the drop down. You can see it here

Very odd as it works for me in all acceptable browsers.

Surely is odd. What happens is that when I mouse-down the second time on the "v", the list closes, but when I mouse up it opens again.

That is the normal windows behavior. Clicking once drops the list down, clicking again folds it up.

Hi Jim,

You misread LostInSpace's post.

When trying to close the combo a SINGLE CLICK on the 'v' make the combo close and then open again. It closes on the MOUSE DOWN and opens again on the MOUSE UP.

The problem is even a little worse under FF 1.0.

This is very easy to duplicate... just open the example in
examples\new\controls.htm

Also, if the combo is in a grid a grid it is IMPOSSIBLE to close in FF 1.0. This can be duplicated using my example code at:

Yes, I did not only misread the post I also lost my mind in testing this. I can swear that I brought up FF 1.5.01 and it worked fine (as I described it as working) so I just assumed the poster thought this was noit the correct behavior. Turns out that I not only read the post wrong, I wasn't even testing it in FF! I am not seeing correct behavior right now in FF 1.5, the only way to close up the list is to click outside the control. In IE you can click inside the text area or click the arrow again or click outside the control.

My aplogies LostInSpace, and thanks Rob for bringing this to my attention.
