3.2.0

Mac Firefox 1.5.0.6 usually fails to bring up grid demos on your site

We love it. We are ready to throw down money. But I develop mostly on a Mac and cann't get the demo grids on your website to come up most of the time in Firefox (PC - FF and IE are great).

The strange thing is that the downloaded samples seem to work really well, just not the live versions. The really really stange thing is then when I hit refresh a couple times I also get these errors -

You don't have permission to access /examples/grid/basic.htm on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request
.

Stranger still it seems to work pretty well in Safari 2.0.4 even though not technically supported.

So do you think I am seeing issues with the product or just your website? If I hit refresh like ten times I can usually get the grid to come up once, but it fails all the other times (not loaded at all, partially loaded, or page errors). I'd be happy to send a screen shot if that would help.

We are really very interested in the product - thanks.

Scott,

check if you have caching enabled in Firefox. It seems to be a server configuration problem on our side.

I set my Firefox cache to 0 MG (there doesn't seem to be a setting not use it), but it didn't seem to help. I still seem to get a lot of 404 errors as well, but most of the time it loads he page with out the grid.

Sorry, actually I was trying to say that you should _enable_ the cache. I went through the yesterday's log file and it looks like your browser sends the same request multiple times (>10) which usually happens when the browser cache is disabled. The first few requests run ok with 200 status but at some point the server stops sending the same file and responds with 403 code.

The examples seem to work fine in FF 1.5.0.5 and 1.5.0.7 on my PowerBook so I am thinking that it could be some kind of browser configuration problem or extension.

Thanks for the feedback. So yes I did have my cache on. Just FYI I did refresh a whole bunch of times trying to get the page to load since I was so interested in getting it to work. It is possible it's an extension I do have a few but I've never run into any issues like this before.

thx
