Grid Virtual Mode: No. of column to cache / render

Grid Virtual Mode:
Problem: Due to rendering of only visible columns, columns under scrolling never get rendered. And in our case we have some form elements (not using Activewidgets Form Elements) in those columns which never get rendered, until you scroll. Due to which on server side we are getting problems with the data.

Is there any possiblity that we can change the number of columns to render in ver 2.5.2?, Or
Is there any possibility that we can use virtual mode only for rows not for columns?

No, you can only switch virtual mode on or off. To modify the number of rendered columns you have to change the source code, there is no API yet.
