how the **** do you set an background behind a frameset!

a <Frameset> tag can be treated like a <body> tag. You can apply a style to it to control the background color, image, or whatever. But if your Frameset does not occupy the entire page, then you have to rely on the default background color of the browser, this is white by default for IE. So I suggest that you make your outter most Frameset fill the entire page using width=100% and height=100%, and set it's background color to whatever you like.
