My company is working to build a product for which we need ajax controls. Can I try ver 2.0. before buying it?

Hussain, it would probably be released under the GPL license too (? Alex could confirm)

I'm just waiting for the new version to see the features for the editable grid.

Hussain,

I don't think the AJAX stuff in 2 will be any different then it is in 1. What are you trying to do that 1 can't handle? I do AJAX completely without the framework, and I think it's much more controlable. Oh, I keep forgetting that we wrote the server. It might be a little more difficult to to what we are doing using a standard web server.
So what are you going to be using AJAX for?

My company has build a generic application development framework and now we were looking to build the web interface module. But the main problem with traditional technologies is the huge gap of technology and architecture we are currently using. It feels like using AJAX will solve our problems. But currently activewidget doesn't provide much functionality like other commercial controls do. Basically we want to send asynchronous callbacks to the server from the client and I guess AJAX is the only choice in that. Can you suggest something better?
Hussain

AJAX is the only way to do that and you can use it now the grid dosn't care how you fetch the data using the paging patch is probably better not used it my self though
