JS debugging

Hey there,

I have a question about JS debugging, caus' I was using the #@[?! MS JS debugger, and of course, there are no watches and no call stack...

So I was wandering which JS debugging tool is used by AW (if any? But as long as I never experienced any JS error, I think it might be the case)

I downloaded "splinetech JavaScript HTML Debugger" and even bought the licence before I could try it, and it adds no functionnality to MS JS debugger...

Alex, are you using a JS debugger? I'd be glad to use the same...

Regards, and my congratulations for your widget!

I am using microsoft js debugger for IE and it actually has watches, call stack and lots of other useful stuff. It is called Microsoft Script Editor and is part of Microsoft Office 2000 or later office versions (you don't need Visual Studio). The file is called MSE7.EXE and usually is not installed with default Office install, you have to say explicitly that you want script editor/debugger or install it later (for example from MS Word menu). This debugger seems quite good to me (or I just get used to it).

For Mozilla/FF I was using Venkman for some time but that was quite long time ago.

Even though V2 doesn't yet fully support FireFox, I use the debugger in FireFox because it seems to run cleaner then the M$ one. I have also used Dream Script Debugger for IE and it works well BUT the development for this product has stopped and there is no longer any support for it. With that said, I still like it.
