XML data island

Hi
I am new to this I want to load the grid with
XML from a DataIsland that has come from the
server How do I do this??? Help

Here is an example

Above code is invaild as

1. "XML data island" is not standard HTML/XHTML

2.
<code>

table.setXML(xmldata);
</code>

xmldata variable is not defined/initialized

I am trying to do this in version 2.0 and I am getting an invalid procedure call???
