Multi-line text in a cell, but only when needed (v 2.5.3)

Hello,

We're upgrading to version 2.X, and I'm trying to add multiple lines to a cell block. I've found the following example in the documentation:

http://www.activewidgets.com/javascript.forum.21948.1/multiple-line-of-text-wrapped.html

Unfortunately, this changes the height of ALL the rows, even for those rows that don't have a multi-line cell. What I'm looking for is a multi-line rows, but only for those rows which have a cell with multiple lines.

Here's a screen shot of what we're trying to do, taken from our current ActiveWidget application (Check out the "Corresondants" column on the right of the image):

I know this is possible because we made it work with version 1.0 of Active Widgets, as shown in the image.

Thanks!

AW 2.x requires that all rows must have the same height (because of virtual scrolling mode). The 'auto' row height as in AW 1.0 is no longer supported.

I realize that this is a very serious limitation of the current version. There are plans to rewrite the scrolling code in the future so that it can support the variable row height. Unfortunately I cannot say yet when this feature will be available.
