Tree in a Grid - How to change cell height

I have a tree object in a grid cell. How can a dynamically change the grid cell heigt depending on the data nodes of the tree object.
I would like to resize the grid cell heigt once the tree has been enlarged and reduce the grid cell height once the tree has been closed.
