Defaulting to a TEXT field

Instead of double clicking on the cell for editing, I would like to make all the fields editable by default so that I can edit the fields directly. When pressing "F2" on some non-editable cells; should enable me to popup a dialog to achieve some functionality. How can I do it? It is pretty much urgent.

Sorry , I cannot edit the cell even double click . could you please tell me which sample html can do edit ?
